Mosman Integrative Medicine

Doctors’ fees have remained the same for the past 7 years at Mosman Integrative Medicine. With Medicare rebates unchanged over most of that period, we have attempted to simply absorb the marked increase in the costs of running the practice. With the increasing costs and demands of regulation, we faced the choice of raising our fees or winding up the practice. We want to maintain our services, so the fees are increasing to allow us to continue to expand our range and quality of services at the level we are proud of.

We know very well how difficult the financial situation is for so many of our clients and patients, so we faced a choice: Limit the time and quality of care we offer our patients to increase turnover, or maintain the commitment to our patients for adequate time and quality care. We choose the latter.

We are offering a whole new experience for new patients at Mosman Integrative Medicine with a streamlining and move to treatment to solve a bottleneck. Rather than waiting months for a 1st consultation with Dr Mark for $800 and a follow up a months or more later with test results for another $400, we are fast-tracking a team approach incorporating our nutritionist, Sophie, and psychotherapist and autonomic coach, Fiona along with personalised appropriate pathology testing before seeing Dr Mark for the first time. This allows us to set a treatment program at the first consultation, and communicate that program to your other doctors and health professionals. It takes what is typically a 6 to 8 month and $1200 process to as little a 6 weeks from first contact to treatment plan for $1000.

Please note: Billable time includes consultation duration, all pre-reading and paperwork such as scripts, pathology requests and referrals as well as communication with your other health care providers on your request.

Our fees
What is covered and what is not
Pathology, radiology and any other diagnostic or treatment fees are NOT included in the prices quoted below, and will be billed privately or bulk-billed by the provider of the products or services.
All pre-reading of documents, results of tests, and the paperwork or calls required following the consultation will be billed separately and generally do not attract Medicare rebates.
Typical additional time for pre-read and post-consultation notes and paperwork is approximately 10 to 15 minutes per hour of face-to-face consultation, billed at the practitioner’s usual hourly rate, rounded to the nearest 5 minutes. For example, a 90 minute face-to-face consultation will usually require an additional 15 to 25 minutes of billed time for the pre-read and post-consultation paperwork.
All work requested by our clients and patients will attract a fee for the service billed in 5 minutes increments at the practitioner’s hourly rate. This includes requests for prescriptions, certificates, specialist and allied health referrals, medical reports or requests for diagnostic tests.

Cancellation Policy

At Mosman Integrative Medicine, we strive to provide excellent care and manage our appointment schedule efficiently, respecting the time of both our patients and our practitioners. We understand that sometimes, unforeseen circumstances can arise, making schedule adjustments necessary. If you find yourself unable to keep an appointment, we kindly request observing the following guidelines.

Please provide at least 2 working days if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This allows us to adjust our schedules accordingly and accommodate other patients who may need urgent care.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee. This fee compensates our practitioners for their time and ensures that we can continue offering timely services to all our patients.

If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without informing us, a 100% no-show fee will apply.
