  • Dr Mark Donohoe

    MB BS, FACNEM, FASLM.

    Founding Doctor And Director. President of acnem

    Dr Mark has worked in the field of ME/CFS for over 35 years, and is considered one of Australia’s leading practitioners in this area. He is currently President of the Australasian College of Nutritional & Environmental Medicine (acnem).

    Dr Mark sees patients from around Australia and overseas with complex illnesses, including chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), fibromyalgia (FM), chemical toxicity and sensitivities (MCS) and chronic inflammation.

    Treatment usually starts with non-drug therapies, including diet, exercise and lifestyle change, moving on to specific, individualized therapeutic needs of each patient. His preference is for employing very specific non drug therapies to restore capacity and balance, and to achieve long-term, sustainable recovery.

  • Dr Isobel Marr

    GP. women's health and traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

    Dr Isobel Marr is a GP trained in Biomedicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with an interest in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. Dr Isobel completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (University of Technology, Sydney) and Doctor of Medicine (University of Sydney), followed by Fellowship of RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners). She is a member of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).

    Her treatment approach typically includes adjustments to diet and lifestyle, accompanied by supplementation, herbal formulas, and/or pharmaceuticals depending on individual patient needs and preferences.

    Dr Isobel is interested in all areas of general medicine and has a particular interest in women’s health, fertility, fatigue conditions, digestive issues and chronic pain and inflammation.

  • Fiona Donohoe-Bales

    Integrative Psychotherapist and Yoga Therapist

    Fiona holds a Masters in Counseling and Applied Psychotherapy (M.CAP) from Torrens University and is a Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

    Fiona offers effective evidence-informed therapies to help her clients feel more confident, calm, resourced and empowered. These include:

    Fiona is interested in all areas of mental health and wellbeing including life transitions, grief and loss, stress management, emotional regulation, trauma and PTSD, anxiety disorders, low mood, depression and medical anxiety. She has a particular interest in working somatically to improve mind-body awareness and wellbeing.

  • Sophie Thelosen

    Clinical Nutritionist (ATMS)

    Sophie is a qualified Clinical Nutritionist accredited through the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). She has a special interest in chronic illness and auto-immune conditions. Sophie believes that nutrition is key to building and maintaining optimum health. She offers practical and customized nutrition plans based on individual needs and health conditions.

    Sophie’s approach is realistic and balanced taking into account the challenges many people face when making changes to their diet. As a parent to two teenagers, Sophie is aware that any changes to diet must be easy to understand and implement. Sophie looks forward to helping you discover effective ways to get the most nutrition out of your diet and not feel overwhelmed when making dietary changes.

    Resident Pooch

    Mr Digby, our much-loved Maltese Cavalier poodle, has been an important part of Dr Donohoe's patient care at MIM, and has delighted, calmed and supported many a patient over his ten years of "work" with us.

    Patients who do not want any contact with dogs, or who may be allergic to animals should let us know so that we can make sure he is not in the vicinity of the Practice on the day of your appointment.
